How do I go after my dreams of having my own brand?

How do you go after your dreams of having your own brand? Well what message do you want to send out to the world? Do you know? A good thing to think about is what you are passionate about. It will fuel your brand messaging. Remember great buildings always start with a solid foundation. So by knowing these things it can be a great reminder in the midst of the chaos and doubts that are bound to creep up.

Something about me is that people can really read me. I'm not good at faking it. If I am genuinely excited about something versus not so much. Yes, don’t get me wrong we all need to pay bills but that doesn’t mean you can’t have something in your back pocket for when your time comes. At my corporate job, there came a time where people didn't know whether they were coming or going. 😵I would just keep my head down working, bringing my lunch to work to save that money and continued to work on my design portfolio. (adding more Fashion work to it) So when things completely fell apart, after nearly four years my role was cut. My transition to New York was smooth as butter. Three weeks into moving here, I had my first gig. Working in FASHION! But what would it had been like, had I not decided on what I was passionate about and what my goals were??

I'm talking to you, creator. Don't shrink back just because someone once said they didn't like your work. You don't even know what kind of day that person could've been having on that day. This can also go on the flip side. Just because your friend(s) said they like your work doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.

I never thought I would enjoy anything more than creating but something I realized that I am even more passionate about is helping creatives push past their negative experiences and help feel better about putting themselves out there. I guess you could say these posts are a mix of both. So if any inspiring thoughts of yours get ignited after reading this, I'd love to hear about it.
