We’re all different, but all the same. I am sure we are all handling this pandemic in different ways but I’m also sure there are also universal things we are feeling as well. I remember back when I was in college, I couldn’t wait until I graduated. But when I finally did, guess what happened? The economic recession. And of course back then what was the first thing to go? The Art Department.😔

Because of the recession, no one was really hiring at that time. I did do some freelance gigs but did not like the whole pricing + paperwork aspect so instead of continuing to build my own thing I spent so much time applying to jobs that ended up being amongst a sea of resumes. It was so exhausting. The one thing I regret from my time was not having the courage to build my own thing. Whether it be a blog, an online shop. Something! Instead, I just put myself at the mercy of employers who were trying to squeeze as many skills into one person. Talk about disheartening.

Although, I had many skills I had just graduated so a lot of things were new to me. So that brought on a lot of fears. I had later learned that companies were supposed to take a nurtured interest in their employees and you weren't expected to know everything right off the back post-grad to help build on your skills. I mean I didn’t know all the decimal equivalents in the metric system! Lol. Basically, if I had an idea to create something it would just fall flat from my lack of motivation and fears of putting myself out there. So now with more crazy times in front of me, I am feeling all kinds of emotions. I am more confident in my talents and abilities but can still have fears my own success. I'm determined to not let my fears rule me this time. So how are you dealing with building your business/brand at this time???

What are you creating right now?

What are you needing right now?

What are you consuming?

What are you tired of?

What are you wanting?

What would feel AWESOME right now?
