Vibes

The vibes of our spaces and what we consume are very important especially now that working from home has become more prominent. This is very true for creatives who are visually sensitive. We absorb the vibes we are around like a sponge. Someone can just mention a movie or a certain type of food and I will want to partake. 😋 The power of suggestion is so real. If you poured soda into a sponge you wouldn’t squeeze out water. lol. What goes into us is what is going to pour out. So if we are absorbing constant fear-inducing news and articles we will have more of a fearful perspective on things. I never really thought of vibes when it came to stuff like this I would just immediately think I need to know all the things. So now I just check it once in a while but I am careful to not let it suck me in.

If you’re like me you like to listen to different music based on your mood. But being at home when I want to feel like I am actually in a coffee shop there is a site called Coffitivity.com that I like to listen to that gives me those vibes. ☕️ If I am having a hard time focusing and I need a kick in the pants to stay focused I made a Spotify music playlist called WeRkk with songs like Supermodel-You betta work by RuPaul and Workin Day and Night by Micheal Jackson, of course, the one by Rihanna and Drake. But mostly been listening to a lot of worship lately because it’s when my soul is filled that I fill I can really focus!

I really made sure to declutter my space. I’ve never realized how much clutter can subconsciously create needless anxiety. What kind of vibes are you feeling lately and are there any things that are helping you at this time create the vibes you desire to experience right now?
